LANDCARE GOES INTERNATIONAL - VIVE LA FRANCE
Landcare has acquired its first overseas site at Oissel, Rouen, in the Seine-Maritime Department of France.
The 32 hectare site perfectly complements the Landcare culture. Previously a busy dyestuffs and pigments manufacturing facility, it was rationalised to cater for the changing market place.
Those changes resulted in the owner having only the landholding and not the manufacturing facility on site – and bore the imprint of decades of dyestuffs and pigment activities. The business sought a way to reduce its exposure to expensive operational and financial requirements.
Landcare has taken freehold ownership of the site and will apply its expert environmental management systems to its on-going operations and development needs. Landcare has worked effectively with all of the stakeholders involved, including the regulatory authorities, to achieve a transfer that is a winner for all parties.
